The Conometric Connection for the Implant-Supported Fixed Prosthesis: A Narrative Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Aim: The conometric concept was proposed as a possible connection between the abutment and prosthetic coping. This research aimed to review features clinical uses of this in an implant-supported fixed prosthesis. Methods: An electronic search conducted on online database for topic object; articles published international literature were considered gave 17 results, 6 parameters analyzed. Results: eliminated possibility cement residues subgingival region, reducing risk inflammation peri-implant soft hard tissues; not having remove residues, it is place margins more apical portions, improving aesthetics outcomes rehabilitations. It also known that retention by means screw causes weakening restoration. retentive force adequate rehabilitation even after high number insertion–disengagement cycles; vitro studies have shown bacterial sealing. Implant using preformed components, such hoods, helpful CAD/CAM, so digital workflow possible. Several types prosthesis presented, all which demonstrated performance follow-up observation. Conclusions: type seems be suitable support implant rehabilitations, but long-term are needed validate system.

Mandibular Implant-supported Overdenture as an Occlusion-guide for Maxillary Fixed Implant Prosthesis: A Clinical Report

Unlike natural teeth, osseointegrated implants react bio mecha nically in a different fashion to occlusal load due to lack of the periodontal ligament. Hence, the dental implants may be more prone to occlusal overloading, which is often regarded as one of the potential causes for periimplant bone loss and failure of the implant/implant prosthesis. Stability of the intercuspal position and red...

Screw retained vs. cement retained implant-supported fixed dental prosthesis.

A fixed dental prosthesis can be secured to an endosseous implant via cementation (using a provisional or definitive cement) on an implant abutment that is screw retained to the implant or directly in the implant via screw retention. The clinical decision as to which retention system best suits the individual patient depends on several factors. The aim of this review is to present a detailed ov...
